Training Needs Analysis

This can be as basic or as sophisticated as you like, ranging from a simple analysis of a problem area to a full scale identification of training needs for the company. The methods we use involve meetings with managers / staff, brief questionnaires and analysis of performance indicators. We will also advise on the most appropriate method of meeting the training needs identified.

Customer Focused Performance Improvement ( CFPI )

CFPI is a unique process we have developed which combines continuous performance improvement with management and staff development. The process involves four stages :

  • Clarifying the needs of external and internal customers
  • Agreeing customer / supplier agreements with key customers
  • Putting in place mechanisms to obtain regular feedback from customers
  • Building high performance work teams to analyse customer feedback and take action to improve performance

Communications Audit

This involves analysing your internal and external communications to identify the strengths and weaknesses of your current systems / methods. Our approach involves meeting with managers, staff and, where necessary, customers in order to obtain a wide range of perspectives. In some cases we also use questionnaires and telephone discussions. After carrying out the audit we will provide you with a report outlining our findings together with recommendations for improvement where applicable.

Building High Performance Teams

This involves working with your management or work teams to help them clarify their goals and identify their current strengths and areas for development. Each event is tailored to the needs of the team but our approach is very much one of facilitating the team to discuss issues openly and constructively in order to arrive at an action plan which the whole team can commit to. We also believe these events should be fun and have designed some practical activities which teams work through and learn from.

Designing & Implementing Performance Management/Appraisal Systems

We will work with you to design a performance management/appraisal system suitable to your needs. This normally involves finding out what you want the system to achieve, the key values you want to underpin the system, the main elements you want to see included and the performance indicators which will form the basis of the appraisal process. We will then produce a draft system for your approval and where necessary an implementation plan.

Management/Personal Development Coaching

For some people a formal training course is not appropriate for their management/personal development needs. This may be because of work commitments or their particular learning style, or even the nature of the development need. In these cases we provide one to one coaching at times and in locations suitable to the participant. The key benefit of these sessions is that they are specifically tailored to the individual’s needs and are highly participative.
