I have an honours degree in psychology and am a fellow of the Institute of Personnel and Development. From 1990 until 1993 I was Head of Training and Development at Scottish Homes where I managed a team of training consultants and provided a comprehensive training service to all departments. In 1993 I co-founded and became Director of Training and Development at Eglinton Management Centre, a highly successful training consultancy based in Edinburgh. The company became highly respected for its work with a number of high profile organisations including The Bank of Scotland, The Scottish Office, Scottish Enterprise, East of Scotland Water and several Local Authorities. I set up Thomson Associates in January 1997. The company consists of myself and, when necessary, a small group of highly enthusiastic and committed human resource professionals who specialise in management and personal development training and the provision of consultancy services to support change management and organisational performance improvement. |
